Copyediting involves editing your written work to improve the readability and clarity of the writing. Copyediting can occur during the course of writing your report, during the approvals process, or as part of the formatting process. By electronically reviewing your project and recommending copyediting changes, Graduate Research Coaching preserves your unique voice and style while enhancing the power, clarity, and impact of your message. You retain the final decision to accept, refuse, or adapt these recommendations.
We offer two levels of copyediting:
We read the document for overall clarity and use Microsoft Word’s revision tracking features to correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and word usage while preserving the meaning and voice of the original text.
We read your work and
- Identify and resolve problems of overall clarity or accuracy;
- Reorganize paragraphs, sections, or chapters to improve the order in which the text is presented; and
- Revise segments of text to improve readability and flow of information
